This contribution to the manus® competition – a robot gripper – is extremely flexible. The gripper itself must be light in weight and have a hygienic design that goes easy on products and is independent of the container size. The solution was in the triangular positioning of the bearings per gripper slide. This meant the maximum possible movement could be achieved under confined conditions. DryLin® RJUM linear plain bearings are used, as well as iglidur® G thrust washers and flange bearings at the points of rotation.
