Robocup Junior

The Robocup Junior qualifiers at Nürburgring on March 1, 2008, first had to content with Hurricane Emma, But this hurdle was overcome bravely.

After some teams arrived late, the time schedule had to be set back. Nevertheless this event was a great success.

Because, the small box at the racetrack was crowded with about 500 people, among them teams and the audience. The best teams in the disciplines "rescue", "soccer" and "dance" were sought after. The 80 registered teams actually exceeded the expectations of the organizer, Nürburgring GmbH.

igus® was at the location with a stand and detailed information materials and could already sniff the competitive air, because it will be decided at the HMI in Hannover who will take part in the World Cup finals in Asia Many participants have been equipped with micro chains and Triflex R® key chains and some had even vamped up their robots with igus® parts. Moreover we were able to greet some of the igus® customers and inform about the novelties.

Conclusion: The event was well organized and igus® is already pleased about next year, when Robocup Junior takes place again at the Nürburgring!
