Reliable rescue
After disasters such as earthquakes or gas explosions, this robot can save lives by terrain reconnaissance. The high-tech rescuer must be fast and light, and also absolutely an all-terrain traveller. In addition, the materials used must remain functional under adverse conditions. The developers used iglidur® plain bearings for the propulsion system, because of their low weight. The bearings are also lubrication-free and therefore require no maintenance. The camera unit also uses igubal® spherical bearings.
