Feeling centrifugal forces
With this simulator, anyone can feel like Michael Schumacher. Not only is the driver visually transported to a lifelike programmed racetrack, but he feels the centrifugal forces and steering movements in his own body. To make this possible, a floating cockpit seat was mounted in a frame. The free and continuous motion is reliably achieved by iglidur® plain bearings and igubal® clevis joints and flanged bearings. Solid plastic bearings from igus® also reinforce the actuators. Soon a 360° rotation will be possible, using an iglidur® slewing ring.
