Formula 1 at school

The students of the "Hai Speed Racing" team Kilian Bechheim, Marco Hoffmann, Marc Rodrigues and Maximilian Krome are relying on maintenance-free xiros® polymer ball bearings for the "Formula 1 at school" project at the FH Iserlohn. The objective of this project was to develop a racing car. Because low weight was called for, a decision was made to use a low-weight and high-performance xiros® B180 radial groove ball bearing for the design of the wheel. This permitted attainment of an ideal weight distribution that was concentrated around the axle.

Other benefits of xiros® B180 radial groove ball bearings:

Lubricant- and maintenance-free

Nonmagnetic and washable

Corrossion-resistant

Electrically insulating
