Book scanner

Digitization and preservation of cultural heritage

A book scanner to digitize cultural heritage uses lubricant-free drylin® trapezoidal lead screw nuts. The book scanner scans the originals to be scanned by placing these with the page to be scanned facing up. The page is illuminated from above, scanned and then transferred to a connected computer. Because of the lack of lubricants and its maintenance-free dry-running operation, an iglidur® W300 custom nut with metallic M4 thread inserts is used in this book scanner.

Benefits of drylin® trapezoidal lead screw nuts:

Lubricant-free

Maintenance-free dry operation

Low noise

Low-priced
