Train door
Racing through the countryside
At a speed of more than 350 kilometres per hour, these trains will be racing through China as of 2012, connecting Beijing and Shanghai. The movement of the train doors will be guided by DryLin® R linear plain bearings. The designers opted for the igus® bearings, because they wanted to build a lubrication-free and thus low-maintenance mechanism, which is also quiet and operates reliably in all weather conditions.
