In this entry to the manus® competition, sacks containing asbestos are cut open automatically. Since asbestos is extremely damaging to the health, the procedure has to be carried out in a protective cabin. This means moving parts are difficult to access for maintenance purposes. For this reason, DryLin® linear guides and igubal® KSTM pedestal bearings are used; these need no maintenance and are not affected by the aggressive asbestos either.
