Bionic-inspired robot joint made of tribo-polymeres 2nd generation

robolink is a compact multi hinged joint made of tribologically optimized plastics. The two degrees of freedom (rotation and pivoting) are tendon driven, so therefore the actuation (electrical, pneumatic, manual) is independent from the moving arm. It has the capacity to reach a load-to-weight ratio of 1:1 or better.

2

Integrated rotary position trans ducers

3

Integrated “tendons” move the joint, all aactuation is independent from the arm. Integrate pneumatic or electric systems as well.

Magnetic sensors for the angular measurement

Teach the robot its task immediately, without programming software.

Quotations of beta testers:

“I like the innovative principle and perhaps I can realise applications with very easy efforts.”

“I would use this joint, because the combination of the turning and oscillating movement was solved very smartly”

“There is nothing comparable”
