Automatic product feed
An automatic product feed takes products across 8 conveyors to a blister sealing machine. Parts were fed incorrectly and got wedged in the product shaft. The product feed caused so many problems that the customer had to load by hand. As food is also handled with this application, other linear plain bearing solutions could not be used. The environment had to be completely maintenance-free in accordance with FDA conditions.
A gate-controlled product shaft was added, which uses a DryLin® N linear guide with low profile. DryLin® N was selected due to its compact size, the short handling time, the reasonable costs and the freedom from lubrication. The system was installed in the customer's factory and is working perfectly.
