The jury of the vector® awards considered this clever use of E-Chains® well worth mentioning: the data glove of Maelstrom Virtual Productions Ltd.. This data glove is used in a virtual sailing application. The problem with previous data glove solutions was that the sensors in the gloves were subject to extreme loads and that movement signals were also produced unintentionally during sideways movements. The E-Chains® of the easy to install Easy Chain® series with an inner height of 5 millimetres prevent this problem because they permit movements in one direction only. Besides that, they also protect the sensors which makes it easier to take off and put on the gloves.
