manus® 2007The C. a. R. is a functional model of a radio remote controlled track vehicle, which in the event of a chemical accident extract samples of chemical mixtures and/or can transmit video signals and sensor data from the accident site.
A problem that vexed the designers was the total weight and the occurring leverages. Here the weight should be saved.
Another aspect was the incidental costs. For this reason, the igus® slewing ring bearing was used, which constitute a light and low-priced alternative to roller ball bearings.
