Conversion of the gear drive into belt drive in an existing robot
The school project "Robot" of the vocational school Berufsbildende Schule in Burgdorf-Lehrte took on the conversion of a gear drive in a robot into a belt drive system. Requirements of the conversion were:
Resistance to dirt, freedom from maintenance, good sliding properties as well as cost-efficient procurement of the components. We are satisfied not only by the long service life and favorable procurement costs.
igus® bearings are insensitive to dirt and dust and have exceptional sliding coefficients. We could not imagine any better components for the conversion of our robot," says the satisfied project manager, Richard Friske.
