It concerns a modern coal-fired power plant newly built by TNB Jana Manjung in the small town of Lumut in Malaysia.
The coal for the power plant is supplied by ships. For subsequent processing, two docking stations were established on an artificial island about 2 km from the coastline where the freight ships are serviced by 2 large ship unloading units.
The ship unloading units each have a travel distance of 441 m and were built by Koch based at Wadgassen in Saarland, Germany. The facility is operated by Lekir Bulk Terminal Sdn Bhd.
