Flexible uses
This robot has a total of six independently controlled toothed belt axes, which are arranged in pairs at 120 degrees to one another. The main problem for the bearing points is the joint angle range. In order to carry out work piece movement is six degrees of freedom, a joint with three degrees of freedom is required on the toothed belt slide and on the moving plate. igubal® flange bearings with outer threads from igus® were chosen for this. The use of lubricant-free bearings and toothed belt axes means that the system can be used in the food industry as well as in all segments where the degrees of freedom of a normal delta robot are no longer sufficient.
