Clean thoroughly
This mobile washing plant cleans shopping carts. Cleaning takes place via a moveable frame on which 16 water jets are mounted. The bearings at the rotatable parts of the frame need to be corrosion resistant as well as resistant against aggressive cleaning agents. Tested roller or metal bearings turned out to be susceptible to corrosion so that the engineers decided to use self-adjusting and maintenance-free igubal® joint bearings from igus®.
