This machine automatically positions traffic cones on the road and increases the safety of road workers with it. To guarantee smooth flow when blocking the roads, the system needs to operate malfunction-free and require as little maintenance as possible. The linear movement of the system was realized with the help of the lubrication-free drylin® linear guide system from igus®. The low weight of the components were furthermore very important because the unit is battery-operated and required therefore less power and energy compared with conventional metal components.
