Perfect movements
With this 3D printer, the working area is moved using a lifting mechanism. The bearings used for this must be able to withstand temperatures of up to 70°C and be insensitive to dirt. Conventional metal bearings have difficulties coping with these requirements. Tests with bronze bushes failed because they jammed due to the combination of lubricant and dirt particles. This problem was solved successfully and permanently using lubricant- and maintenancefree iglidur® flange sleeves and the drylin® linear round guide.
