Drill trouble-free
This drilling system is used in a robot that takes soil samples in wetland. The system has two motors. One of it controls the rotational movement of the hollow drill; the other one controls the height of the drill. The height adjustment has been realized with the help of the drylin® linear system from igus. It has the advantage of being lubrication-free and corrosion-resistant. Therefor it works malfunction-free in a dirty environment with saline air.
