Testing device
This device is used for testing stainless steel pipes. Since the pipes have different diameters, the test unit as a whole must be vertically adjustable. The wet and soiled working environment does not permit conventional metal bearings to be used since they are prone to corrosion. Lubricant-free products from igus® were chosen instead. The design engineers used igubal® pedestal bearings from igus® for the drive shaft of the height adjustment motor. The ultrasonic transducers of the test device are fixed to drylin® SLWE spindle linear tables.
