This wooden reel for winding steel wire is particularly durable and increases safety in warehouses. To enable the reels to be picked up and transported by forklift trucks, they have holes on the sides in different sizes. The openings tended to break out over the period of usage. As a result the reels could no longer be used and became a safety risk. The transport holes have now been lined safely using igus® plain bearings. The abrasion-proof plastic increases the service lifetime of the reels and transport safety.
