The combination of the quick adjustment of the linear carriage and the precise positioning defines the fast-forward principle. Pressing the release button opens the quick-release mechanism and the carriage can be moved over a large stroke displacement. When the mechanism is closed, the lead screw nut re-engages to enable precise positioning with the handwheel. The highly compact linear module SHT-08 is now also available with the “fast forward” quick-release mechanism.
