The large scale wastewater treatment plant in Calbe has been using a Series 2500 energy chain since the beginning of 2008. The customer decided in favor of the igus® e-chain® because the maintenance effort on the motor cable drum
and the slip ring bodies was too high.
In addition to the power supply (with chainflex® CF9), the energy chain also guides a chainflex® Profibus cable and an air hose on the 20 m of travel.
