Silent burial
This system makes unsightly waste bins disappear into the ground at the touch of a button, leaving a colourful flower bed behind instead. The garden box with lifting mechanism, which can lower objects into the ground, makes this possible. It is driven via an electric motor and toothed belt. There is a threaded nut fixed in the bogie which implements the up and down movement. This is where the unpleasant noises originated when steel and brass components were used. In addition, the nuts had to be maintained and lubricated. This problem has been elegantly solved by using DryLin® trapezoidal leadscrew nuts.
