Heating and shaping
This machine manufactures plastic packaging out of thermoplastic film, among other things. The film is uniformly heated and shaped as desired by a vacuum pump. A system of DryLin® rails and bearing housings provides support to the moving heating unit. DryLin® linear guides and slides are used to direct the cutter. Critical in our choice of the igus® products, in addition to the fact that they do not require lubrication, was their resistance to chemicals and high temperatures. They also use a plastic Energy Chain®.
