In this miniature steam locomotive, the three-part back door open easily, because iglidur® plastic plain bearings are used in the hinges and the locking mechanism. The advantage is obvious: Unlike metal bearings, they require no oil or grease. Appearance was also a decisive factor, because bronze bearings would have violated the accuracy of the 1:4 scale replica. The thin-walled iglidur® bearings fit harmoniously into the overall image.
