Brake sensor

Precise monitoring

This brake sensor is extremely precise. In wind power plants or industrial lifts, it uses a magnetic angle sensor to monitor the operation of the brake and the wear and tear on the brake pads. The angle between the magnet and the measuring cell should optimally not change – a Herculean challenge, given that there are around 5 million switching cycles in the temperature range of -40 to 70°C. The magnet‘s stable and accurate bearing assembly is achieved by a combination of two plain bearings: a brass/stainless steel bearing and a maintenance-free plastic plain bearing from igus®.
