Perfect sharpness
This handy grinder is used for plane maintenance, where a lot of man-hours are required to remove kitty and adhesives from the surfaces of planes. For this purpose, plastic scrapers are used which are soft enough not to damage the aluminium surface of the planes. Since the scrapers get blunt quickly they need to be sharpened regularly. Conventional metal bearings become clogged with ground plastic dust very quickly, however. For this reason, lubricant-free iglidur® plain bearings are used in the grinder.
