This plasma cutter with active distance control is used in the metalworking industry. The fine metal dust produced during cutting was a problem for conventional guides and bearings because it permanently clogged them and impaired their function. In addition, several electric insulations were necessary to prevent voltage flashover. The lubricant-free and dust-resistant DryLin® guide solves both problems perfectly.
