Turn and throw

Ball robot

In the USA thousands of school and university teams participate in the FIRST robot championships in various disciplines every year. The participants designed a robot that can throw a 300 g ball up to 16 m. To be able to target the goal properly, the thrower needs to be able to turn. The rotation angle is 180 degrees. The installed cables must not constrain the rotational movement and certainly shall not be damaged. For this reason the young designers decided to use an igus® e-chain® to guide the cables.
