Inspection robotThe two "halves of the body" of this inspection robot are connected via a Triflex® R e-chain® from igus®. The robot is used to inspect pipes and can cope with gradients of up to 30 degrees. It can cover distances of up to about 100 millimetres per second level stretches. Since the weight of the complete robot was not to exceed 2 kg, plastic components were mainly used, including igus® pivoting bearings as well as the e-chain®.
