Dusty and cramped
Coal siloA belt 167 metres long conveys coal into silos in this application. The bunker emptying waggons need an energy supply which fits into the cramped space and works very reliably in the extremely dusty conditions. Festooning systems could not be used on account of their height. Cable drums would be too heavy. An igus® e-chain® of the 3838 series including the guide channel requires very little space. Various Chainflex® cables are also in use.
