Parabolic mirrors
Cheap and maintenance-free
In this solar thermal power plant, energy is obtained from the rays of the sun - and thus without fossil fuels. The parabolic mirrors are equipped with plastic plain bearings from igus® that have a long life and make maintenance unnecessary. A newly developed bearing is used for this application, which is much cheaper to manufacture than a comparable rolling bearing.
