Deep-sea drive
High pressure under water
This engine must drive deep sea robots even 6000 meters below sea level. The requirements for such a deep sea drive are very special. It needs to be equipped with integrated control electronics, which due to pressure-sensitive components does not allow for oil filling, and has to be relatively light and small. A specially designed plain bearing seal from igus® guarantees reliable operation under water.
