manus® 2011

Cordless screwdriver vehicle

Plain bearings at the heart of the action

The driver lies on this vehicle with his armed stretched out and head facing forward. The vehicle accelerates to over 30 km/h. It is steered by the driver shifting his weight. This necessitated the development of a completely new joint which is at the heart of the vehicle. The joint has to bear the load of the driver’s entire weight. The joint is made up of several axes and braces. iglidur® JVFM plain bearings were selected for smooth and wear-free movement.
