System E6.1: new generation of quiet running and cleanroom suitable echains®
After 10 successful years as a cleanroom and “whisper“ chain, the new generation is in the starting blocks. Besides the E6‘s proven benefits the new generation offers further advantages that significantly simplify the handling. Moreover, due to changes in the design the accessibility to the interior has been improved, the weight reduced and the assembly made easier.
Crossbars are now swivelable on both sides and removable in the inner and outer radius.
Direction of rotation can be changed, e.g. for zigzag installation.
Option without camber by turning the inner link.
Extremely quiet through small pitch length and brake in the stop-dog system.
Extremly low vibration.
Low-abrasion fastening system (no pin/hole connection).
Virtually no polygon effect, thereby “round“ operation.
Faster cutting to length through optimized connection design.
Smooth and obstacle free interior design for a long lifetime of cables and hoses.

Cable friendly interior
The main feature of igus® E6 series is its outstanding performance in cleanroom environments. The new generation is following in these footsteps. Cleanroom qualifications are in preparation.
To protect the cables and hoses in the e.chain® even more effectively the design of the new E6.1 has been majorly advanced.
The surface of the crossbars is extremely smooth – as well as the bridging point between the crossbar and the sideparts of the e.chain® link. The injection point and all other marking points have been designed to be on the outer side of the e.chain® cross section.
Noise level
igus® internal tests have shown that the new E6.1 generation has the ability to set new benchmarks in regards to quietness and low vibration.
The E61.29 series has undergone a noise test in the igus® test lab, showing noise levels with are 2 dB(A) below the already class-leading noise-levels of the igus® E6.29 series.
Weight reduction
The new E6.1 generation can take up higher accelerations, due to a weight reduction of 37%, making it a highly dynamic yet still extremely quiet e.chain®.
