The enormous life time of the E6-joints has now been verifi ed by a survey report, conducted by the FH Köln, Institute for Electrical Power Engineering. The expected life time of an E6 series on an automated component placement machine with very short and high speed movements, has been projected with 1,8 to 3,8 billion* assembly operations.   The E6 series offers numerous advantages, making it a problem solver, especially when extremely low noise, low vibration operation and clean room suitability, paired with very high stability, is needed.

High clean room suitability

 

The high clean room suitability of the igus® E6 E-ChainSystems® has been further extended by the development of a novel, customer specific, interior design. The horizontal and vertical interior separation elements, made from a special igus® material, designed by the igus® Polymer-Bearing Development, minimizes the cable wear to an absolute minimum. The special design of the E6 System, without any pin / bore connection, allows for an extremely quiet, very low vibration movement and absolutely clean room suitable and strong energy supply system.
