Movable melting furnace
The special requirement with this furnace system was the movement of the filled furnace weighing a total of 45 tonnes over a distance of 22 metres. When the 1650°C melt from the furnace is cast, metal splashes often occur which damage unprotected system parts and can thus lead to failure of the whole system. The igus® E-Chain® used made of a special material with self-extinguishing properties guarantees problem-free work for this application.
