The servo manipulator presented here was used for the remote dismantling of a pipework system contaminated by radioactivity It has 7 axes with a possibility of 360° rotation in the first axis. They system had to be designed as slim as possible, since the pipework system to be dismantled was only accessible through the narrow gap of an opened radiation protection door. An igus® Energy Chain® of the series 3500 was used.
