The downtimes have been drastically reduced through the use of an igus® solution for this robot in automotive construction, too. The difficult movement geometry with 550 welding points per part led to many cable breaks. Every time the robot failed, the whole assembly line failed. The igus® Triflex® R E-Chain® used is one that keeps up with every movement and safely routes the cables. Downtimes have been reduced to zero.
