The use of Chainflex® cables achieved an increase in efficiency in this solar vehicle Lightness is absolutely necessary, after all, the vehicle – named XOF1 – took part in the “Arctic Circle” and gained a new world record. For this reason, mainly lightweight, but also highly and mainly cold-flexible igus® Chainflex® special cables were used. A lubrication-free DryLin® linear guide from igus® was also laid next to the cables.
