This device breaks down kidney stones using electromagnetic shock waves, so that an operation is no longer necessary. The moving parts of the device must be supplied with energy (hydraulic, pneumatic and high voltage 25 kV). Demanding safety precautions must be met for the patient, medical staff and material. igus® Triflex® R E-Chains® are used to guide the cables safely in three-dimensional movements in this application.
