Parabolic antennas
The application presented here is in a parabolic antenna which is part of the European navigation system project “Galileo”. For the antenna to be able to be aligned to the respective object in space, it has to be rotated about its longitudinal axis and the lateral axis. The energy supply should be safely guaranteed over the whole rotational range. This is carried out by the igus® E-Chain® which is routed along one side and is rolled up or unrolled depending on the direction of rotation.
