The replacement of the old roller E-ChainSystem® by an igus® P4 E-Chain® resulted in several advantages: The crane’s service life was extended, the E-Chain® runs more quietly in the channel and the roller wear was significantly reduced. The new system has been running in several Chinese harbours for more than a year now without a single problem, which has allowed servicing costs to be significantly reduced.
