Roll stand for railway tracks
Up to now, the energy supply to the rollers in this railway track rolling mill has been realised using steel chains. One problem, however, was the fact that the double-running chains were not individually accessible, e.g. in the event of a cable failure. The igus® E-Chains® E4/00 chains now used can be opened on both sides so that the routed cables can be accessed quickly and replaced without any fuss. The time required and any possible sources of fault have been significantly reduced.
