This robot in a car factory is the “supervisor” over five smaller robots that supply it. This means it has to be fitted with numerous cables and hoses. With too many for a conventional energy chain – the cables were too heavy, the robot couldn’t move. To solve this problem, two Triflex® R Energy Chains® were installed. These are suspended from a jig above the robot so that their weight load is not on the robot.
