A wide range of solutions were tested for this application. Before deciding on iglidur® X plain bearings after very successful trials, encapsulated needle bearings were used. iglidur® X plain bearings achieved higher service lives straight away. At ambient temperatures of max. 75 ℃, iglidur® X plain bearings work under conditions of high humidity, salt and various chemicals on a stainless steel shaft 24 hours a day.
