These medical laboratory appliances, so-called thermal shakers, must work perfectly to deliver exact results. No vibration and unbalances must occur when the small tubes containing lab specimens are accelerated at up to 3,000 revolutions per minute and heated up to 99 °C. The implementation of orbital and planar combination motions with igus® thrust washers leads to a much more robust, more accurate and lower maintenance technology than that of the classic thermal shakers.
