Dismantling tool
During the removal of a nuclear power plant, 14 metre-high steel tanks are milled into small metal chips. At the same time, a milling cutter, which is used as a dismantling tool, must be inserted precisely into the tank from above. The supply of energy is provided by two igus® E-Chains® of the 28 series from the E4/00 family. Their chain links are easy to turn over and are therefore ideal for zigzag applications. However, among other items, flexible Chainflex® CF9 control cables and diverse hoses are guided in the energy chain®.
