CF130.US - first igus® MTW cables
Exporting machinery into some states of the United
States, NFPA 79 is a more and more required certification.
Studying this certification in detail it is obvious that the
use of AWM or UL registered cables is not allowed, even
in the most demanding E-Chains. This is problematic in two ways:
1. The choice of applicable cables is reduced tremendously.
2. Because of the high demands concerning fire resistance,
the NFPA 79 reduces the choice of applicable
materials to PVC for the moment.
With CF130.US and CF140.US, igus® offers a
a MTW-cables (Machine Tool Wire cable)
which comply with NFPA 79 norms. But
because of the severe norms these cables are
only for limited use in E-ChainSystems®, specially
in oily environment. But at least igus® offers a solution in the field of
control cables for applications with short strokes
and medium mechanical requirements
